Shenna McCiara Chiwan Thurmond

Ms. Shenna McCiara Chiwan Thurmond, age 41 of Winder, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. 

She was born on Thursday September 15, 1983, in Athens, GA, to the late Charles Edward Tillman and the late Thelma Mack Thurmond. She departed this life Wednesday July 30, 2025 in Tucker, GA.

She was a native of Winder, Ga, where she was a devoted band player. She joined Tabernacle Baptist Church at an early age. She was a graduate of Bauder College (Atlanta, Ga). She is remembered by many for working at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (Winder, Ga). She rededicated her life to God and became a member of Holy Bethel Church of God in Christ in Buford, Ga; where she was actively serving on the usher board.

Her memories will continue to live through her siblings; LaKisa Thurmond (Winder, Ga); CleVonda (Anthony) Mayweather (Statham, Ga); Freddie Thurmond (Winder, Ga); Erika Hall (Duluth, Ga); and Tynesha Thurmond (Winder, Ga) ….nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and a very special sister-friend, LaTonya Oldie.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 2:00pm, located at Tabernacle Baptist Church - Winder, GA.
