Tenika Millette (Heard) Isom

Mrs. Tenika Millette (Heard) Isom, age 48, of Old Middleton Rd. Community, was gently welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 5, 2025, at St. Mary's Health Care System in Athens, Georgia. Though her time on earth has ended, the love she gave and the lives she touched will forever resound in the hearts of those she left behind.

Tenika Heard Isom was born to the late Willie Heard and Kathlean (Glaze) Heard on September 28, 1976, in Elbert County GA. She married Steven Isom on April 1, 2011, and recently moved back to her childhood home in Elberton Ga.

Tenika’s parents predeceased her in 2010 (Willie) and 2015 ( Kathlean), her brother Rembert in 2005, Grandmother Annie Kate Glaze Barnett 2010, Grandfather Bobby Lee Glaze 1955 and Step Grandfather Thomas Barnett 2012, Aunt Carolyn Glaze Dillard 2013, Uncle Samuel Burch 2024 and Aunt Cynthia (Turman) Glaze 2025.

She leaves to cherish her loving husband Steve of 14 years; her brothers Wydell Willie Heard Lithonia Ga, Anthony and( Linda) Elberton Ga; sister Anita and (Larry) Leverette Las Vegas NV; Uncles Robert (Sarah) Glaze Jonesboro Ga, Melvin (late Cynthia) Glaze Elberton Ga, Johnny (Mary) Banks Atlanta Ga, Hallah (Cathy) Banks Augusta Ga, Michael Banks Tampa, Fla; Aunts Bobbie Glaze Woodruff, Gainesville Ga and special Aunt Peggy (Glaze) Burch, Cary NC, Mary (Verdery) Banks Murray Hepzibah Ga, Ann (Leslie) Singh Richmond Hills NY, Ida (Albert) Slaninka Richmond Hills, NY, Katie M. Huff Washington, Ga, Ethie Banks Bronx New York.

Five Nephews: Demarcus Bradley Athens Ga, Rodney and (Fran)Leverette Atlanta Ga, Alfred Banks Atlanta Ga, Anthony Heard Jr Elberton Ga, Myron Denson (Telesia) Tempe AZ; Three Nieces Chelesea Leverette Las Vegas NV, Nawassia Thornton Dacula Ga, Kaylebh Heard Anderson SC.

Great Nephews Demardric, Jaiden, Anthony(AJ), Brandon (CJ), twins Terrance & Trenton, Josiah, Johannes, Legend, twins Ace & Ayden, Matthias Great Nieces; Kimora, London, Ariyah, Milan; Great Great Nephew Legend Bradley.

Mother-in-Law Joann Isom and one brother-in-law Terance Isom both of Raleigh NC; Tenika is survived by a host of relatives including Great Uncles and Aunts, cousins

Upon graduation from Elbert County Comprehensive High School in 1995 she briefly studied at Middle GA College, Cochran Georgia and Georgia Military College, Augusta Ga.

In March of 2000 she moved to Cary, NC where she proudly secured her Property, Casualty, Life and Health Licenses for the State of North Carolina. She worked at Peggy Burch State Farm Insurance Agency for 8 yrs. Tenika enjoyed helping others and meeting people, which led her to work at Rehabmart LLC in Elberton Ga. After moving to Sierra Vista, AZ she was employed by Aegis Communications and Telus Digital Las Vegas, NV for several years respectively.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 1:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00am, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
