Valerie Bolton

Ms. Valerie Bolton, age 55 of Elberton, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Sunday, April 30, 2023.

On January, 29, 1968 a beautiful baby daughter was born to the union of Mr. Zorias Randall Bolton, Jr and Mrs. Lucille Fortson Bolton in Elberton, GA and her chosen name was Valerie Elaine Bolton.

At an early age in life Val joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member until her health begin to fail. Val was faithful to God’s word and each morning she blessed many with a Morning Inspirational text.

Val was always the joy and life of every place that she blessed with her presence. That beautiful smile she wore on her face always made our day much brighter. Val was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, Valerie Elaine Bolton heard the master call and the angels beckoned for her to come home where she met her parents, her grandparents, Mr. Richard James Fortson, Mrs. Lizzie Rucker Fortson, Mr. Zorias Randall Bolton, Sr., Mrs. Rosa Lee Wilker Bolton Turman, stepmother Elder Sandra Bolton and her beloved daughter Ms. Lizzie Bolton.

Val leaves to cherish her memories forever, her three loving children, Mrs. Jataria (Steven) Oglesby, Ms. Jessica Bolton of Elberton, GA, Mr. Zacharias Bolton of Manhattan, KS; son-in-law, Mr. Travis Jones of Hartwell, GA; three siblings, Mrs. Eulalia ( Darryl) Daniels, Ms. Anita Rucker, Mr. Bernard Rucker of Elberton, GA; aunt, Mrs. Barbara Banks of Elberton, GA; fifteen grandchildren, Quintravious, Ke’Nyshia, Staveoun, Jaquonna, Aerial, Dentavian, Za’Naria, Ka’Miyah, Azai, Tynesha, Catherine, Rictavian, Zeta, Quay, Tinjia; eight great-grandchildren, Skyler, Kimazia, Chancey, Chan’ston, Aviona, Tayviana, Rictavian, Jr., Shaelynn; godmother, Mrs. Dorothy Murray, three special family members, Mr. Melvin Thornton, Ms.Sharon Fortson, Ms. Homerzell Heard; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 4:30pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
