Mrs. Vernita Shealer, age 66 of Hartwell, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Sunday, March 05, 2023.

Evangelist Vernita Pinkston Shealer was born on July 28,1956 to the late Talmadge and Pearl Pinkston. Evangelist Vernita Shealer entered into eternal rest on March 5, 2023.

Evangelist Vernita was a graduate of Hart County High School class of 1974 and attended Anderson College. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age. Evangelist Vernita was a faithful servant at Christian Worship Assembly for many years before relocating to Ocala, FL. Before relocating to Florida, she was ordained as an Evangelist. She was also a part of the prison ministry, praise team, Intercessory prayer team and choir. Evangelist Vernita enjoyed singing and ministering, she loved to laugh and spend time with family.

Evangelist Vernita Shealer was preceded in death by her parents Talmadge and Pearl Pinkston, one brother James Pinkston, Grandmother Ollie Bell Ravenell, one son in law Daurian Simmons, one nephew Bernard Brown and father-in-law W.B. Shealer.

Evangelist Vernita leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 44 years David Shealer. Three daughters: Juan (Mark) Rucker, Keshia Simmons and Latasha Shealer. Four grandchildren: Jay’Quan Bowman, Trinity Rucker, Hannah Simmons and Rachel Simmons. One sister Susan Brown, two Brothers: Doug Pinkston and Freddie Pinkston. Mother-in-law Martha Shealer, two sisters in laws: Angela Shealer and Louvondia Robinson, one brother-in-law Floyd Shealer; and a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends. A special thank you to Doctor’s Hospital and Promedica Hospice of Augusta,
Georgia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00am, located at Christian Worship Assembly. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Christian Worship Assembly.
