Wallace Wilburn

Wallace Wilburn was born February 2, 1957 to the late William Arthur and the late Ollie Mae Wall Wilburn.  He was called to his heavenly home on May 9, 2024 at Iva Post Acute Care.

Wallace was raised in Elberton, GA, where he was educated in the Elbert County Public School System.  He worked in the granite industry in Elberton for many years.  Later in his life, he had a passion for etching black granite.  He was a person who never met a stranger.  He loved to talk and would talk to anyone.  Wallace also loved to fish and listen to music. 

Wallace is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Swinger Wilburn; daughters, Shania W. Torres (Jay) of Anderson, SC and Omeka Mitchell (Trafton) of Knoxville, TN; son, Demetrius "Tiny" Wilburn of Atlanta, GA; step-son, Tamarkus Paul (Antessika) of Calhoun Falls, SC; brother, Johnson Wilburn (Tommie) of Dewy Rose, GA; sisters, Brenda Troutman (Lonnie) of Vienna, GA and Patricia Wilburn of Elberton, GA; four granddaughters, Makenzie Scott, TaMariuna Paul, A Zariuna Paul and Gabriella Torres; one grandson, Jeremiah Torres; and several nieces and nephews..

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  Public viewing Friday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
