William Frank Martin, Jr.

On November 28, 2025, Mr. William Frank Martin, Jr. of Hartwell, GA received his ultimate healing  & gained his wings while surrounded by a host of loving family members.

William Martin, also known as Billy, was born September 19, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to Dorothy Coffee Bell and William Frank Martin, Sr. Since birth, Billy has made many achievements which included serving in the United States  Army and Kalamazoo Sheriff’s Department.

He was honorably discharged from the United States Army, having achieved the rank of sergeant as a pilot in 1965. Billy graduated with a B.S. degree of Social Worker from W. Michigan University in 1975. Billy served as a Pre-Sentence Investigator and Probation Officer for the State of Michigan. He was the Assistant Director and Chief of Airport Security and Safety for the city of Kalamazoo. He also served in the instrumental roles at Marconi Avionics and Nortel Telecom.

Billy has made many accomplishments in his lifetime such as piloting aircraft such as airplanes and helicopters, conducting trains, riding dirtbikes, motorcycles, and 10-speeds at a professional level.

More thank anything Billy loved his family infinitely. He always made himself available as well as his home. He was our fieriest protector, our greatest life advisor, and the smartest man that many of us knew.

He is survived by his wife, Michellene Piper Martin; former wife Gloria Martin; former wife Doris Allen-Martin; his sons Kevin Martin, Rodney Martin and Ali Martin; daughters LaDonna Martin, Ashley Martin-Brooks and Natalye Martin; he also leaves behind many grandchildren, a host of sisters, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 3:00pm, located at 408 Robins Road Hartwell, GA 30643. We ask that you keep the Martin family in your prayers.
