Winnie L. Whitfield

Mrs. Winnie L. Whitfield, age 85 of Carnesville, Georgia entered her eternal rest Thursday February 23, 2023.

Winnie Lee Whitfield age 85 passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Brown Convalescent Home in Royston, GA.

A native of Franklin County she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Gladys E. Whitfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Robbie Lee Stephens, her son, noble Jerome Whitfield.

Winnie joined the Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She worked at the Dean’s Master’s Cleaner’s as a presser for 30 years or more. Later she continued and completed her job career with the Ideal Cleaners of Toccoa, GA. She retired to care for her mother later and as her health began to decline.

Winnie is survived by her daughter Larretta Wheeler, Lavonia, GA. Son Herbert Whitfield (Linda), Lavonia, GA. Brother Roger L. Whitfield (Deborah), Carnesville, GA. Grandsons: Paris (Sandra), Terrance (Amanda), Sebastain and Michael. Granddaughters: Letisha and Vernique. Niece: Shona Foster (Noni & Isasiah). Nephews: Eric and Lucas. Four Great-Grandchildren, a very good friend and roommate: Miss Margie Blackwell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, beginning at 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at Ellis Chapel C.M.E. Church 17820 Hwy 106 Carnesville, GA 30521.
