Mr. Zachary Lakeith Tate, age 44 of Elberton, GA entered his eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Mr. Zachary LaKeith Tate, age 44 transitioned from earth to Glory on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Zachary was born on April 19, 1978, to Mr. & Mrs. James & Elizabeth Tate.

Zachary was a man who loved his family. Zachary attended Elbert County Comprehensive High School where he graduated in 1997. After High School, Zachary worked at Glenn Raven for many years before a change in his career. He worked in the granite Industry before his health declined.

Zachary accepted Christ at a young age and became a member of the Cade’s Chapel Baptist Church. Zachary was a loving Husband, Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and a close friend. He was very big on family. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone. He loved going on family vacations and having family fun days. All we have left are the good memories that we shared with him over the years. He will truly be missed. Zachary married his wife, Shanta Tate in July of 2013. To this union two children was born. Zachary also gained two children and Shanta gained one child to this union.

Five Children: Jason (Miya) Bowman of Duluth, GA, Nitia Fortson of Elberton, GA, Isaiah Snow of Greenville, SC, Zacheanna Tate of Elberton, GA, Zaveion Tate of Elberton, GA. Parents: James (Elizabeth) Tate of Elberton, GA. Sisters: Yolanda Tate of Elberton, GA, Chiquita (Steven) Smith of Lawrenceville, GA, Nikki Norman of Elberton, GA, Marquita (Daccus) Turman of Washington, GA. Father-In-Law: James Fortson Jr. of Elberton, GA. Mother-In-Law: Debra Dye of Elberton. In-Laws: Peggy Dye of Elberton, GA, Shenita (Derrick) Harper of Hartwell, GA,Jamie (Kim) Fortson of Conyers, GA, Sherry (Loring) Browner of Elberton, GA, Kimberly Fortson of Athens, GA, Latasha (Tyricus) Tucker of Elberton, GA, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 2:00pm located at Cade's Chapel Baptist Church. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Cade's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
