      Melvin Leon Bowman, US Army veteran, age 61, of Athens, Georgia passed Jan. 19th, 2017. 

      Funeral service 2:30 pm Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 at love in Action Out Reach Ministry, Elberton, Georgia. 

      Interment will be in the Lincoln Height Cemetery, Elberton, Georgia. 

     Survivors include his wife, Sallie Bowman, children, Ytandra Hughey, step daughter, Angela Davis; brothers, J Johnny Bowman, Will Bowman, Jackie Bowman; sisters, Dora Allen, Elanie Allen, Ann Jones; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
